Handmade by Kunbi was born in 2016 after a rekindling of a long lost passion for knitting and crocheting. It didn’t take long before the creative bug bit, providing an outlet for knit and crochet designing.
Our mission with Handmade by Kunbi is to create fun designs and patterns that you will love to make and wear whether you’re a beginner or seasoned knitter/crocheter. It is our hope that we can inspire and encourage you to truly express yourself in your chosen craft.
Handmade by Kunbi designs are always well thought through with the knitter and crocheter in mind and your finished makes are bound to stand out.
I started knitting and crocheting at the age of 8 and although I abandoned both crafts from when I was a teenager until well into my 30s, I pretty much hit the ground running when I decided to pick up my knitting needles and crochet hooks again. I haven’t looked back since.
I’m a medical writer during the day, a wife and mummy to a very energetic seven year old going on seventeen and a boisterous nearly one year old. I enjoy writing and I have authored a few blogs during different seasons in my life. I’m a coffee lover who loves to read, listen to music, write worship songs inspired by a heart filled with awe and wonder for God, and hang out with my family. I enjoy laughing all the laughs and making people laugh.

So, I designed this beaut of a yoke sweater in 2020 but never released the pattern. One main reason is because it’s a bottom up yoke sweater and I’m very much aware that most knitters prefer top down yoke sweaters. My plan has been to rework the pattern, so it’s a top down but I would love to get your thoughts.
